Well, I checked out firefly and it looks like they
also offer a service that allows firefly users to
connect with normal telephone users, but their
rates for that service seem pretty high.  Costs
are based on minuites of use similar to long
distance carriers.

In this area there is a push by ISPs to offer
telephone service and a push by telephone
companies to offer ISP service.  Vontage even
offers VoIP over DSL.  Not sure why since most DSL
operates over telephone lines.  Why would you need
VoIP over DSL when you already have a normal
telephone line?  Makes me wonder how many people
get sucked into paying twice for a service they
already have.
