I'll bet there's lots of us who are curious  about the difference between a RAM defrag on XP compared to 98 or 95, and a hard drive defrag on the same range of OS.

We may know that on a hard drive the continuous changes, additions/changes/deletions and so forth create, over time, a lack of contiguous sectors and eventually there is some slowing as the heads have to jump all over locating what it needs to use.

With RAM, does it defrag on power down, but maintain "junk" during a computing session?
