Although I do not used W2K, I have done this many times on '98, ME, XP and 
my present op sys, XP PRO (Which I understand is similar to W2K).
Most of the HDD makers supply installation software for their drives and I 
have had good luck using these programs.
I have quite a few installation programs on floppy and CD and I would be 
happy to copy some of them for you. Or, tell me what brand of drive you have 
and I will see if I can come up with software for that specific drive. (The 
software must be for the drive you are copying from).
