To the list members, I need some help!
I have the following setup:
Cable modem, Belkin 4-port router and three computers for the Ham Shack
network.
The 'main' computer (that the modem is connected to) has a second NIC card
which I want to use for a second network to run three other computers in
various parts of the house (All hard-wired with CAT-5 cable). From the
second NIC it goes to a Hub and then to the other computers.
The problem is that the status for the second NIC shows "Limited or no
connectivity" and I am unable to connect to the Internet with these
computers.
In researching Window help, it tells me that I need to use a network bridge
to allow the two networks to communicate with each other and tells how to
accomplish this. When I try this, it tells me that I can not have ICS
running on either of the two connections.
I am unable to remove the ICS and add the bridge.
The first network is working fine and each computer can see the other
computers. When I try to run the 'home networking wizard' for the second
network it screws up the first network and I have to redo the whole thing.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks in advance....
