Paul,

If you have trouble writing down everything that you need during the boot 
sequence (screen clears before you even get started), go into BIOS Setup and look 
for it there.  Not much telling where you will find it but on my current 
Intel board, it's on the MAIN tab under Additional System Information.  Gives the 
board family name, specific board version, and serial number.  The BIOS 
version is on the MAIN tab itself.
