Ron,

Modify the properties of the shortcut (right-click the shortcut -->
properties).  Change the "Start in" (2K/XP) or "Working" (9x) folder to
wherever you want the prompt to be when you start the command prompt. There
are other ways, but this is the easiest.  =)

Some time ago some one very kindly sent the Change so that Command icon 
goes to C:> instead of doc's and settings. As usually I have put it away so 
I could find it. Sure. Can someone please send it to me again.. I promise
