Go to http://www.grisoft.com and get "AVG 7.0" and http://www.lavasoft.com or
.nu if the US site doesn't respond, and get a copy of AdAware 2.0 SE. You'll
find the freebies at both sites, but you have to surf a tad bit to find them.

You can install either one first, but make sure you run their respective
updates after re-booting, if prompted.

If after running updates & full system scans/cleaning, doesn't do the trick,
you may have to go a step farther, by doing a seacrh at Google
http://www.google.com in the search window, enter (an example here) BlagBlah.b.d removal, and
you'll find several links of good use.

Assuming you're running IE of any version, the "Alexa" key(s) will show up in
the scan, which are OK to delete/quarentine.

As a last tip, if you're running Win ME or earlier, I highly recommend you do
a search at Google for "MS RegClean" which will aid in reducing, if not
eliminating errors in your system registry. If you can't find RegClean, let me
know, and I'll be glad to email you a copy.
