I use Simply Mepis which is another Debian based Distro
You can find out more here http://www.mepis.org/
There are alot of outside links on that website to help and such.

Don't just set yourself on one Distro right off. If you don't have 
Broadband find someone that will burn you the CD's.
I've tried lots of Distros my favorites are Slackware based and Debian 
based systems.
99 percent of Linux Distros are free to download and use.
Linspire is one of the few that is not free to download. You can get the 
Linspire Live CD.
Anyways take your time and try them out, every distro is different. If 
you don't like one there are others
