Easiest solution is to set the browser to make cookies to "Session only".
This will allow websites to set cookies in the browser, but the browser will
delete the cookies when you close the browser.
In IE6, goto Options -> Privacy Settings -> Advanced and and check the
"Override..." box. Then set IE to block both First and Third party cookies
and then check the "Aways allow session cookies"
In Firefox, set the "Keep cookies" option to "Until I close Firefox"
In Mozilla, goto Preferences -> Privacy... -> Cookies and set the Cookie
Lifetime Policy to "Session Only" or "x" number of days.
If you want to make a cookie permanent, turn off the "Session only" setting,
goto the website in question so the cookie installs, then turn the "Session
only" back on. The cookie should remain until it expires or you clear the
cookie cache, whichever comes first. When you exit the browser, manually
check the cookie cache and delete any cookies that were also set except the
one you wanted to keep.
Older browsers don't have these options, so you'll need a 3rd party cookie
handler such as CookiePal.
