I helped build a 4 node Novell 3.12 network that's still running. By
itself, as in I don't work there anymore and no one has touched the
server. It just keeps chugging along.

My W2k server that runs Exchange started coming up with all sorts of
memory fragmentation errors. The MS answer - "We're aware of it.
Reboot the server nightly."

Thank you, MS, you've been a HUGE help.

It is, quite plainly, a defective operating system. Yet the Great
Unwashed buy every single new version, as if it's somehow better than
the last one.

Funny, my linux boxes don't need to be rebooted.

Next April 1, I'm going to replace my bosses' hard drives with ones
containing linux. Or at very least, run a live CD distro. The look of
panic will be priceless.
