[Ham-Computers] Windows Mal-Wear Removal Tool

Has anyone yet downloaded and run this?  All of my machines run Windows 
Update.  The first one told me about this yesterday.  The last one tonight.  Which 
I thought in itself was passing strange.  In the blurb, they even say that it 
doesn't replace anti-virus software and that you should still run that.  Duh.  
If that's the case, what does it replace?  I already run several versions of 
spy and ad ware fairly frequently.
