I'm getting deja-vu.
Just substitute `backup tapes' for CD's and there you have it.

In something like 10 years of backing up, the only solution that worked
100% of the time was a DOS-based package that ran a changer.  As soon as
it hit Windows, it went to hell (where Arcserve will eventually burn).

Then we got the Sony AIT drives......  had to return both of them once.
