[Ham-Computers] Boot order issue with PROMISE RAID array and new VIA HD

ASUS A8V-Deluxe MB
XP Pro SP2
RAID 1 array (SATA) on PROMISE controller

I have a working system configured as described above. I want to add a
single (non-RAID) SATA HD on the VIA controller. When I install the new SATA
drive, it is recognized in BIOS. The computer wants to boot from the new
drive-not the RAID array. In BIOS, under BOOT ORDER, the PROMISE array is
not displayed as an option. The VIA controller is the only HD available. I
want it to boot from the PROMISE RAID array and just add the extra HD on the
VIA controller.

Any ideas?
