[Ham-Computers] PGP Alternative?

Greetings to the list.

In the process of upgrading to a new PC, I failed to archive the setup 
file I had for PGP free. I can't find it on the web anywhere, and can't 
afford $99 for the Pro version.

I'm not too concerned with importing my old keys, as all the files I 
saved were either self-decrypting, with backups stored on trusted 
systems elswhere.

What I'm looking for now (hopefully) is a freeware alternative to PGP 
9. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, as long as it can't be hacked 
my a ten-year-old running a 486 :-)
