John,
I've used EasyCD (now EasyMedia) since CDRW drives first became barely
affordable. I've looked at Nero two or three times over the years but never liked
it. EasyMedia, with a minimal install, can be run to treat the CDRW and DVDRW
drives like removable hard drives. I've never used any of the menu driven
stuff that comes with it, just treated the drives like any of the other drives in
the machine when I needed to read from or write to one of them. The program
originally belonged to Adaptek, then Roxio, and recently the name changed to
Sonic something, I think.
