Subject: [Ham-Computers] Re Software Missing?

Greetings All,

I have a custom built computer here. it came with the OS installed,
drivers,
Ooutlook Express and MSIE etc. Just the bare essentials.

It has a CD/DVD combination drive that reads both CDS and DVDS, it
also will burn either a CD or a DVD. However, I can not find the software to
do a thing
with this drive.

it says that a program called "Nero", or "Nero Express", is installed. If
so, I sure can not find it. It also says that a program called 'Adaptic Easy
CD
Creator' is installed, I can not find it either.

Now I have the Adaptic software which I purchased new for my external CDRW
drive
for another system, so I know how to find and use it.

I have searched the HD every way possible and come up empty. the only
possibility is that the software is on the HD in a hidden, possibly
compressed, directory and is using a name other than the ones named above.
Such as the
software is still compressed and never was installed.

Any thoughts or suggestions my fellow victims of the Bit and Byte illness?

thank you.

Duane W8DBF
