I have no idea what your requirements are, but if you're getting new
boxes, I'd use Win2k.  98 is just plain unstable and requires constant
babysitting and eventual reinstalls to keep it going.  At least 2k is
stable, which is what you need for business installations.

When we went from 98 to 2k, it just about stopped all of our Stupid
Desktop Support Calls, freeing us up to do something productive instead
of saying "Reboot please."

XP actually works on slower machines than 2k but I really don't like it.


Of course I wouldn't be me if I didn't put in a plug for linux, which
you simply don't have to reboot like Windows.
