Here's an idea. Find out if SBC-Yahoo DSL is available in
your area.

If it is, your problem may be solved, because SBC-Yahoo DSL
bundles a free unlimited dialup account with it, and both
accounts may be used at the same time, which is permitted
under SBC-Yahoo's TOS.

The only drawback is, that you'll need that person's
password, and the local dialup access number. Assuming you
can get all this accomplished, the last step's rather easy.

Go into dialup networking, and manually configure a dialup
connection. For example;

user12345 at sbcglobal.net substitute user12345 for the
person's actual user name.
