Aaron and All,

Do any of you use the Apple Ipod with a non-Macintosh based system? If so,
please speak up and tell me how it works and what I need to know to assist this
elderly gentleman.

If anyone has another suggestion, remember it must be easy for this senior
citizen!, please suggest it.

Thank you.

I don't have an iPod, but I think Apple's iTunes music management software
directly supports the iPod. It also used to buy and download music from
Apple's iTunes music store. I use iTunes on occassion and it's as easy to
use as any Mac based product.

The only other thing needed would be the iPod device drivers for Windows.
The first iPods didn't include PC support (Mac only), but Apple finally
caved in and released drivers and support for Windows based systems.

You should be able to find everyting (iTunes and the iPod driver for
Windows) on Apple's website.

What is involved in installing the Apple Ipod to a Windows XP Home Edition
system?

What software is needed to download music from the Internet sites that offer
it?

The gentleman wishing to do this is 78 and knoes almost nothing about a
computer. Whatever is done, it needs to be as simple as possible for his
sake.

Suggestions?

Thank you.
