[Ham-Computers] Frustration with MS

Gee Jim, thank you so very much for swearing and treating me as you did. You
have convinced me to leave managing all the QTH.NET lists, as I am not going to
be spoken to in the fashion that you have done. I am a volunteer and I do not
have to put up with it. You can manage the list Jim, I will make the
arrangements tomorrow and transfer it to you. I hope you enjoy it.

Anyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but it is not nnecessary to express
oneself as you did.

See you -

Wait just one dog gonned minute here!

Since this came in under the subject line I created, I assume that my
comment that I was frustrated with MS is what set you off. I didnt pick
on Bill Gates. I didnt even mention him. But now that you mention it,
he is the Great Satan. So I will pick on him. And later when you start
bitching about this being off topic, I want you to remember that YOU,
Duane Fischer, started the whole damned thing, not me.

No, we would not have what we have now if he had not been there. We
would be WAY AHEAD of where we are now.

He did NOT invent the home computer and he didnt even make the best
software. IBM bought his system over others probably because he made
them a better offer and then with IBM MONEY forced a lesser system on
us. There were others better. TRSDOS was a better OS than his MSDOS
but with his mighty money source (IBM) he killed it before it could
continue to grow into a better system. His was much worse at the
beginning so you cant compare todays software with TRSDOS and say, "see
I told you so". You have to look at the contemporary software and then
you see that it was MONEY and IBM that drove the better systems out.
Without IBM Bill gates would have been an "also played."

Yes, I can fault him for being a less than honest and upright bussiness
person. ANYONE who would sell Millennium Edition OS to the public and
not give back every cent when it was discovered to be a bugg filled
piece of crap is Immoral.

Others whould have done a better job if IBM had not had the financial
clout to kill them all.
