Hi All,

The old blind dude needs a modern program to work with his HP Laser 4P printer
to generate address labels for envelopes.

Which way would be better for mailing Ham QSL cards to overseas countries:

1. Use a business size envelope and print the address right on the envelope

2. Print a stick on address label for the business size envelope

I am wondering if the address label is large enough to accomodate the longer
addresses used by many overseas countries? It might be unwise to make the print
smaller to get more on a label because it would make it harder to read. Hence
printing the address right on the envelope might be a better way. Your thoughts?

I have heard that the Dymo Address Label program works quite well. Has anyone
used it or heard anything positive/negative about it? Cost? System requirements?

I originally wrote my own program to create address labels using a dot matrix
printer, the IBM Pro Printer, in fact. It is still here in the closet. I think I
even have several new ribbons for it. Bet they are good now! Who knows, maybe
they are not dried out.

That program would also allow me to print an envelope with the return and mail
to addresses.

The problem is, being totally blind, I have no accurate way to align the labels
at the outset. Hence, I have one of two ways to do this. First dedicate a
printer to do only that task and keep it loaded and ready to go. Or have
somebody sighted help me align it and print everything all at once

Being as these are only a one time mailing, there is no need to save the
addresses in a database.

I am open to suggestions. Thank you.

P.S. The OS is either Windows 95B with HP 4P laser printer or Windows 98 with HP
P-1000 ccolor printer.
