I have been holding off on this because of the inability to explain
easily and not doing it very often.

I use Roxio or Nero (depending on which came with the CD writer I am
currently using) to put onto CD by telling the program first I am
creating an Audio CD and then just dragging the files into the window
(it tells when full) and telling it to write the CD and close the
session (needed for CD players). This assumes you want to play on all
CD players, holds 64-70 minutes depending on disk.

Saving as MP3, which would only play certain places but you can get a
lot more on the CD, I think you might save as data CD and do the same
steps (never have done it). I believe the Audio CD creating
automatically changes MP3 to AU files and puts the gaps in between
songs.

For Windows XP the writing of CDs is also built in. You just highlight
the files, right click and choose write to CD or the like (only have
done one Data CD this way when someone told me about this method).

Not much help, but more ideas to confuse.
