[Ham-Computers] Question about Adaware program

Brian,

Dont remember if you are running 98 or XP.

First of all with these operating systems one should always be familiar with
task manager and what programs are normally running with no windows open.
Looking at it will reveal all programs running which will show various
adware and possible even a virus program.

Its a lot of work to do manually but do a search for files with names like
the programs running that shouldnt be. When found..close each program in
task manager..then delete all the files suspected....be careful.

I have found that deleting files for one name can get rid of other junk as
some programs start others.

Another method I use which some wouldnt know how to do is do a registry edit
to get rid of some junk in there.

Loren
