So I am hearing. But I can not help but wonder Ron, how many conflict issues
lurk here? Nothing nowadays works with anything else.

Great! I just found out my daughter was given a new Windows XP Pro system by her
boss for home. The old Windows 98C system has been erased and given to her son,
my grandson. None of my software is going to work on her new system. Not good,
especially since she 'had' all of my legal documents and important files on the
old system. Some of which they 'think; was saved to a CD. But none of which is
supported by her new system. Groan.

So waht is the difference between XP Home Edition and Pro? Niether support DOS,
right? I wonder if the software I wrote that runs in assembler on the 98 machine
will even work with the new one?

You can get USB to serial and USB to parallel converters or a computer that
has serial and parallel ports also.
