Oh, it's that bad - I send "protest" letters to websites that insist on
posting everything in PDF format.  It's larger than HTML, it requires a
proprietary reader.  While that reader is free, it's also junk - searching
and printing don't always work, it has memory leaks, it locks up and/or
crashes (not that other programs don't as well, but why is two programs that
crash better than one?)

And it's not very friendly to the disabled, in a number of ways.

I'm not disabled myself, but I'm a computer programmer, and sometimes have
to "make" my programs accessible to the blind, etc.  And let me tell you,
Acrobat Distiller's support for making text reader compatible PDFs is 10
times worse than Word's, for example.
