No I haven't.  I am currently running Red Hat 9 on a laptop and have 
parts on order to build up a box for the shack which includes a 120 
gigabyte drive.  I might try installing two or three different 
distributions on a drive that size and play with them.  I am also 
looking into FreeBSD.  A friend of mine, W2XO, runs a bunch of machines 
with FreeBSD with the K-Desktop and is very pleased with them.

Looks like a good site.  There is a BLOG there written by a guy who is 
installing and working with Fedora Core1.  I have not read it completely 
yet but I intend tonight or tomorrow.
