[Ham-Computers] Help With HP 5100 Scanner

Hi All, 	
	
If any of you are using the HP model 5100 color scanner, I have a question. 	
	
I appear to have a file missing, the system deleated it because it thought it
was contaminated. However, I scanned every file on the system and no other files
showed up with any virus problem or otherwise. 	
	
What I need to know: in the directory - 	
	
scanjet\istech\plugins11\	
	
If I am indeed missing one, can I restore it by doing a reinstall of the scanner
software? Do I remove the previous installation and then reinstall the software
or simply overwrite what is there?  	
	
This is on a Windows 95b system, and it does not totally remove a program when
it is uninstalled either with the particular software programs 'uninstall'
option or by any other means. I always have to hunt for files and kill them one
by one. So if overwritng is permissible in this case, it is much eaasier.
