[Ham-Computers] Long-term reliability of DVD+/-R storage media.

I know that DVD media and drives have not been out that long (and I haven't 
even learned yet the practical differences between +, -, DL, etc.) but does 
anyone know of any projections on expected survival time as an archival media (in 
this case scanned .TIF military radio manuals)?
