[Ham-Computers] Dialup For Juno w/o Juno Browser?

Greetings to the list.

I recently restored a PC for a fellow ham, after cleaning
the "beagle" virus. Prior to that, they had a "manual"
dialup connection that didn't bring up the Juno browser.
(Juno's thier ISP)

How do I "restore" the connection? I tried setting up a
manual connection, but I keep getting error 691 (Invalid
password) when I entered what is in fact, the correct
password.

Near as I can figure, the reason that I couldn't connect,
was that the manual connection wasn't using the Juno
"protocol" how do I work around this, so as to avoid having
to use the Juno browser?
