They're the only computer components company I know of named "Viking".
Fairly large outfit, so you might be able to send them an e-mail or give
them a call.

softmodem (aka Winmodem).  These are just datapumps and will not work like
(e.g. emulate) a modem without driver support.  AFAIK, most softmodems don't
work in Linux.
