[Ham-Computers] "Moving" e-mail messages from one computer to another?

There's an FAQ on microsoft.com under Outlook Express that will guide you.

>From what I remember....do a search on *.pst files. This file holds all of
your email messages. Somehow get that .pst file onto the new system and
import that file into the other Express mail system. Something like that.

Anyone ever been successful in moving lots of saved/read
e-mail messages from your old computer to your new computer?

Both computers use Outlook Express for mail readers.

Can one simply hook the two computers "back to back" between
the NIC cards with a turn-over cord as some sort of a small two-
computer network?

Any reasonable thoughts welcomed. Thanks very much for
your time and any workable suggestions.

John
