[Ham-Computers] Apple notebook computer Powerbook 5300 cs

Has anybody on here ever owned 1 of these, a ham gave this to me and said
"see if you can get it to work for you" well I had NO luck after 2 hours!

I plugged in the power pack and the light comes on but nothing else happens.
Does the thing have a On/Off switch?

I looked on Yahoo and found some sites but nothing for trouble shooting.

Anybody on here can give me some good insight.
