This is on the long side, so please forgive me.

I was in the process of cleaning up my system registry, (Win98 SE) when I 
found the following keys.
(Among others)

According to a search on Google:

BackWeb is a "push" technology that automatically delivers customized 
information from the Internet to your desktop. You choose from hundreds of 
BackWeb channels with diverse topics, such as news, weather, finance, 
computers, and entertainment. Information can be delivered as animated 
InfoFlashes, audio messages, wallpaper, or screen savers. It's downloaded 
using spare bandwidth on your TCP/IP connection, so it won't slow down 
normal work activity. You can control information types, so you get just the 
information you want, and can simply click on a synopsis to have your 
browser access more details. The system includes many options for 
customizing and choosing from the wide range of channels, as well as 
searches and Java support. You can even choose limits for the disk space 
used for saving channels. If you want to stay on top of certain information 
but don't have time to hunt for it, BackWeb's information delivery system 
offers a superior solution. A help file and information about the different 
types of client software are included. The small file in the ZDNet library, 
when executed, connects you to BackWeb's server to initiate the download of 
the actual installation file, which is in excess of 6MB.
