How do they pay their bills? Pop-up ads or something?

If they give away both the program and the updates one wonders at what
point they will go out of business.

Just wondering ... am running RedHat 8 Linux here so problems with
viruses are rare (most only work because of security problems in M$).

There are some anti-virus apps for Linux, like most else in Linux they
are generally free. For the most part an up-to-date Linux install is
pretty much virus-proof.
