Hi Brian

I'm pretty sure 'Apollo''s comment is not correct.
Mine works and I do not have Word installed on my computer.

I went to the Tools, Options, Spelling, and made sure everything was
checked and OE6 does check every message before it is sent.  
It sounds like that is what you did also but you might double
check that you did it from the top level menu's

I guess the real point of this message was to let you know you
did not have to buy and install Word in order to make it work.
