Have you tried running the special apps under any of the M$
"translators" for Linux, e.g. Wine or Win4Lin or ___ cannot think of the
name of the other one? I am told that most M$ apps are handled well --
and the security and stability of Linux are unharmed by M$.

It is my view that Gates did what he did for the money. Apple, Digital,
and IBM stood ready to do precisely the same thing but Gates out-
manuevered them -- I see no altruism in anything Gates has ever done in
the computer field.

If Gates had never done a thing many others would have filled the gap
and we never would have missed the M$ Corporation.

IMHO, YMMV .. ;-)
