This problem shows up if you have EZbios, or some other program installed.
These programs allow you to use a large HDD on older machines where the bios
does not allow larger HDD's.
There is a option when using the WD setup disk to not install EZbios; if you
do this, the machine will not use the full capacity of the HDD.
Can you boot to the "C" drive?
If not, start the computer with a WIN98 boot disk and choose minimal boot.
Then run FDISK from the "A" prompt. Make sure that you set the partition to
be "active" and try that.
If it does not work, let me know and we will go from there.
