John,

Take the original to a local printer, have him enlarge and print it out. The
easiest, quickest and least stressful way to get the job done. The cost is a few
dollars, very minimal.

Yes there are ways through different software to blow up, zoom in, magnify and
so forth. Sometimes getting it to print out the way you want it is a headache.
Avoid the grief, visit your local printer.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] Enlarging schematics received as .pdf files?
Date: Tuesday, September 03, 2002 10:34 PM

I hope that this question isn't that far off topic...

I just received a schematic for my Drake R-4A
It came as two pages in the Adobe .pdf format.

It's real easy to read if I use the Adobe toolbar
option that allows me to "zoom in".

Printing the page is another story though. The
original schematic was 11" x 17" and I got the
schematic in two pages - two .pdf files. One is
the left side and the other is the right side of the
original larger schematic.

I can't figure out a way to print anything other
than the two halves of the original as 8" x 11"
pages from the two pages in the .pdf files.

I sure would like somehow to be able to print
the schematic, in as many pages as might be
required, of the "zoomed in" page that Adobe
offers me in much greater detail.

Any ideas on how this might be done?

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas.

John
