In Windows Explorer, select any .jpg file then, under
File/Properties click the "change" button in the "open with" section,
select the file browser of your choice, and click the box to "always use
selected program."
Hope it helps. BTW, there are a _lot_ better file viewers
available than ie6--try acdeesee or a similar shareware/freeware
program.
