[Ham-Computers] Using USB printer for DOS program??

Thanks Chuck
Per your advice I tried it, doesn't work. Tried to tell it to "capture" the
LPT1 port, but no dice. But while I was in there I told "Acrobat Writer" to
"Print to file" so that it no longer "captures" LPT1. Now of course I get a
"no printer" error when I try to print from the DOS program. The
"workaround" is to tell the logging program to "save" to a text log, then
print the resultant text file but that loses all formatting. and gives me a
very 'ugly' result.
Luckily I don't print from that program very often and when I do it's only
for a paper copy on the desk to work from when editing the logbook.

> Try going to Printer Properties/Details/Capture Printer Port (may access
differently depending on your windows version.) I've never used a USB
printer, but that's the same error I've gotten trying to print from a DOS
program to a network printer. This is a horse you have to lead to water
before it will drink.
