Hi,
John Collins here-I had the successful non-patch fix the other day. I
thought it worthwhile to point out that the patch will fix the problem only
if it is related to the original Win98 fault. It doesn't touch the problem
if it is caused by one of the issues in the "read-this-first" documents.
Some of the issues that require the research & trial & error are corrupt
closing sound files, drivers that compete for the closure memory space, etc.
takes some poking around sometimes.
