one of the little adapter cords that plugs into a motherboard
on one end of a ribbon cable and provides a PS/2-style connector 
on the other end that replaces one of the "blank card slot covers" 
on the back of an "IBM-style" case?   Kind of like the serial (COM) 
or parallel (LPT) port connectors that provide a similar function.
But this particular adapter thingie would be for a mouse or a 
keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated in finding one of these things.
