[Ham-Computers] Win98SE "Sleep" mode

Hello
Running a machine here (600MHz P3) that supports full power control (sleep,
suspend, power-off etc) running Win98SE. The suspend/sleep mode worked just
fine when I first got the machine and did a full software load.

Yesterday I tried loading XP-Pro on one drive (having the Win98 cloned to
Drive D), I told it to load XP on Drive C. Well something went wrong and
it "trashed" both drives. Yes, XP ran but couldn't do anything with the
Win98 programs. When I set bios to boot from drive D (my backup drive and
this bios allows ANY drive to be the boot drive) the Win98 boot info was
gone and the machine re-verted to XP again (indicating it had loaded to both
drives). As I have several vital programs that won't run from XP I decided
to "wipe" both drives clean and start all over with Win98SE.

Also, ALL my email was GONE from both drives after the XP was loaded.
Luckily, I had a two week old copy of my email folders, address book etc on
Zip files.

HOWEVER, now I cannot get the suspend/sleep modes to work even though I have
APM etc enabled. All I get in the shutdown menu is shutdown, (which will
shut power off), restart and restart/dos.

HELPpppppp!
