Thanks for doing this work Walt!
 
I used the SX-117 and HT-44 combo through the late 70's and into the 80's.
Got mine from the estate of an SK who bought them new. Thought I died and
went to heaven as I went from a rock bound DX-20 and a HQ-170 to this combo.

 
I ended up selling them in the 90's - little use and needed the $$ with two
young children. I found a real nice set a couple years back and bought them.
They work very well after all these years and are all original except for
the new caps I put in the power supply. I have your docs in with the
original manuals for when they need bench time!

I UPDATED HT-44 REPAIR MANUAL. 
I got a good deal on a HT-44. This rig was really trashed out with mods and
garbage. I thought it would be a good test of the repair document. It was,
and I found some improvements to the document. Mostly in the test and
evaluation of the phasing scheme.

So, now I have a better document and a really "sweet" HT-44.
