Yes, it was sold by CE as the "458" VFO, 'cause it was made from a
BC-458.... i.e. ARC-5.  The kit contained instructions, a couple of parts,
knobs, a dial, and a color-matching box to put it in.  Typical configuration
of a CenElec station was an 10A or 20A (better with more features) exciter,
the '458 VFO, and a 600L linear (should have been called the 600 LB... [it
weighed 100 lbs NET!].  That and my 1941 Hammarlund Super Pro (210x) heated
my apartment quite nicely.
