[Hallicrafters] tube shields

    Are  you sure the bayonet kind will not work?  I have snap on 
shields that fit the same base but snap onto the same dimples 
that the bayonet shields fasten to. There is another kind of 
shield, often seen in old TV sets, that is held in place by 
springs. Never seen any in ham equipment.
