[Hallicrafters] SX-100 Mark 2A

I have a cosmetically near mint example of the subject receiver.  It plays well but I intend to give it a thorough service.

2 questions:

I have a green manual for a Mark 2.  Is there a separate manual for the Mark 2A or Mark 2B?  I ask because of the several schematics issued.  The Mark 2 manual has the "C" version (089-600894-C) schematic.

Has anyone experience and/or pointers for restringing the bandspread dial to the bandspread capacitor cable?  I believe that the cable has merely come loose from a clamp of some sort.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
