[Hallicrafters] SX-99 Question

My friend Ron is restoring a SX-99 that has Mark 1C printed on the chassis.
I didn't see any reference to this code in the manual except for a comment
in the parts list relative to possible front panel and/or frequency dial
differences.  Does anyone know the differences?
