[Hallicrafters] SX-117 aftermath

     I think the AVC line was my suggestion. I can see now that its 
unlikely due to the bypass caps. I can't think of another way for the IF 
transformers to have been fried since the receiver was supposed to be in 
about perfect condition before the "accident".  Very puzzling.
