Manuals ALSO say you can't restring the SX-62 series without removing the 
front panel, but I've done 3.  Yes, it's a PITA, but with a couple pair of 
hemostats and a dental pick (or the like), and a huge BARREL of patience, 
coupled with a complete review of nautical vocabulary, it can be done. 
(especially when the hardware is rusted in, and can't be removed!).  Then 
again, if you're restoring the receiver, take that beggar off.
